This morning I received some amazing news from J.P McCarty: Hot wheels will bring us a kaido racer die-cast!
I still haven’t figured out what car this zokusha is based upon: best fit would be the Nissan Laurel C130, but doesn’t feel right looking at the shape of the door. So can anyone guess what Hot Wheels based it upon?

The Hotwheels site seems to be calling it the ‘Mad Manga’. I have a 7 year old boy who is pretty nuts for Hotwheels and they seem to have a fair few of their own creations with crazy names alongside their replicas of real-world cars so this could just be one of those. Although, if I had to put money on it, going on the window shape & rear screen angle I’d say maybe a KGC10 with roof-to-rear-quarter extensions perhaps?.

I don`t think it is based on any one car .
But I see a bit of Laurel C230 in there.
It’s loosely based on the c110, Jun Imai is the designer behind it (and recent influx of Japanese goodies like the rx7 and the kenemeri )
