After posting the zig zag Chaser it is now time for a zig zag Soarer:

Now when I saw this car my first thoughts were not Nissan Skyline C210, but actually 1981 Ford Mustang Mach 1!
Nissan Skyline C210 Mach 1
Everyone who did see the original Gone in 60 seconds knows the looks of the Mach 1 by heart! Okay, it does not resemble the Mustang one on one, but you can clearly see its influences! 😉
However the paintscheme is clearly inspired by Starsky and Hutch’s Ford Torino. So which Ford did inspire this car?
I only wonder about the quad pipe exhaust: would this be a 4 cylinder L16 or L18 Skyline then?

A few years back the Hayashi Sakura wheels were a very rare find! Since a few years these retro vintage wheels are being reproduced in various sizes, including these 12Js:
Hayashi Sakura 14 inch 12J
Sakura (???) means Cherry Blossom. As you can see the inside of these rims have a cherry blossom shape. Sakura is associated with good fortune, love, affection and represents spring. I couldn’t think of any better rims than these!
This set of two has never been used and are in perfect condition. Consider the size of 12J to be as rare as the 7J variants were a few years back. 😉
Apparently they are made of real cherry blossoms: the seller wants 230000 yen (2500 dollars) for this pair!
You can find the auction here:

No new years meet videos yet, so you will have to do with this video by take4mickey:
The pictures are dated back to 1982 and as you can see a lot of the cars are (almost) brand new! I see some R30 Skylines, Silvia/Gazelle S110 and Gloria Y30s!
Can you imagine hacksawing your brand new Toyota Mark X, Nissan GT-R or Mitsubishi EVO X? Yes I can!
