    • Jun 17thHow deep is your dish?

Sure, we all saw how many how to stretch your tires before including the brake cleaner trick!

But I bet you never saw two bosozoku (employees) stretching a Toyo Proxes 225 around a 12J SSR Mk. II rim before without brake cleaner!

      Great haircut btw! 🙂

          Nice,
          so that’s what 225/40/14 looks like on a 14 x 12.

I’ve got 225/40’s on my 14 x 11 and after watching that I think I might do the same. I just hope the brake cleaner works as I don’t have those compressed air tanks.

Very good find, thanks for the update.

Wow, interesting, well, I have been aware of the stretched look, but I havent seen how its done… anyways, questions pop in mind: A) whats the influence on the ride? can you “feel” it? is it beneficial, neutral or interfering, i.e. rather for the looks sake? B) what about the lifespan of the tire? The edge of the tire doesnt seem to be designed to operate that way but maybe that does not matter… whats the experience, then? Do these tires tend to burst or wear or whatever?? thans

          but ok here goes…
when you have a normal tire with a relatively flat “bottom” and you have massive camber you lose most of the tire contact area, but if you have really wide rims and you stretch the tire across the rim the you have more of a curved surface, which in turn when you have more camber you actually gaining more tire contact area then not only that haha you rotate your tires around when you have no tread left on the cambered side and get even more use out of them! hope this sort of makes sense!
