    • Mar 19thBosozoku music

Not anything car related but I was looking for a video with bosozoku cars with high pitch revving. I did not succeed in finding that, however I did find this great video of a bosozoku member revving some tunes on his bike:

I couldn’t detect any known tune from that, but I surely think that he actually just played some well known Japanese rock and roll songs. 😉

    • Mar 18thHow deep is your dish?

Remember the deep dish steelies I posted some time ago? Well, they are deep compared to these 15 inch 14J ET -74 steel rims I found on Auctions Yahoo!
Deep dish steel rims (15 inch 14J ET -74)
Deep dish steel rims (15 inch 14J ET -74)

These rims don’t look that deep, eventhough they are more than double in width than the average rim on any car!

Only 500 dollars and they are yours! Offset is 114.3×4, so they should fit on most older Japanese cars. They would even fit easily on my Toyota Carina or on any hachiroku! 😛

BTW: Nice car collection on the background! I see three 240K Skylines on the foreground and a Gloria (or Laurel) in the background.

Tires are supposed to be 285/40 and look quite stretched. Amazing how round these tires become when stretched this much!

And who cares if stretched tires have less grip: 285 width stretched tires should give me more grip than my 185 unstretched tires! 😉

    • Mar 16thMeeting monday

This video is a highway meeting of several former members of the Fukuoka team. They love to give a loud Bosozoku concert on the highway!

With a large tunnel concert as bonus:

    • Mar 15thLast weeks poll results

Last week we asked your opinion about the headlight covers. Clearly most people like the headlight covers even though they are from the 70s! I’d call it retro then. 😉

This week we ask your opinion about the width of the rims!
Very deep dish SSR Mk. II rims
Very deep dish SSR Mk. II rims

How wide should the rims be on a Bosozoku styled car? 9J? 10J? 11J? 12J? Ridiculously wide?? Or even wider?

    • Mar 14thExhaust of the week: double handed Bosozoku kei car

Another exhaust of the week: this week we have a double handed exhaust for you:
      Two handed Bosozoku kei car
      Two handed Bosozoku kei car

This sixth generation Mitsubishi Minica may look like a small kei car but Mitsubishi had three engine types of which one was a turbocharged five valve four-pot. So actually that means more than one exhaust pipe per exhaust valve!
