    • May 17thLast weeks poll results

Most people prefer the paintscheme over the single color cars. Since the paint schemes are much more wild looking we expected it to end much closer to each other: good to see polls can’t be predictable after all!

This week we will start with a new type of poll: the sudden death. Each week we will put two cars in the ring and you decide which one will continue to the next round. This car showdown will contain 16 cars in total and, hopefully, we will know the winner within 7 weeks!

This week we have these two cars:

Rare bosozoku car: Toyota Crown MS65 sedan cabrio

So it will be the Nissan Skyline Japan C210 we feature in our logo versus the amazing Toyota Crown MS65 sedan cabrio.

    • May 16thExhaust of the week: big sideburns

This week we have another picture by knuckles.tv:
      Toyota Crown MS120 with sideburns
      Toyota Crown MS120 with sideburns

The big exhaust pipes make this Crown look a bit like a bosozoku with big long sideburns, or maybe a bit like the hair of Heihachi in Tekken!

The picture of the Crown was also taken at the HotRod 2008 meeting.

    • May 15thExhaust of the week: Spread your wings part 2

Last week Bosozoku posted a picture of a, what he thought, Mark II with exhausts like wings. Someone commented that it was a Crown.

I dug through my archives and found two pictures of the car:
      Wings of the Crown
      Wings of the Crown

And it is indeed a Toyota Crown:

So our anonymous commenter was right after all! 🙂

    • May 15thBosozoku lifestyle: get caugth by the cops

Another user contributed video: Billy sent us this awesome video!

The video shows the other side of being a bosozoku member: the cops are after you!!
One guy in a yellow Soarer thinks he’s Smokey (and the bandit too) and tries to break through the police barrier. After the police stopped and captured him not much is left of the Soarer! Not a pretty sight!

On the other hand the cop who confiscated a bike looks very funny when he attempts to balance the whole bike when driving off.

What is more kyusha than a really deep dish set of RS Wantanabe rims?
Two 12J wide 14 inch RS Wantanabe rims
Two 12J wide 14 inch RS Wantanabe rims

RS Wantanabe was one of the first alloy rims manufacturers in Japan and these 8 spoke rims have been manufactured since the start of the company in 1968!

Deepest lip on RS Wantanabe possible
Deepest lip on RS Wantanabe possible

These rims are the widest RS Wantanabe wheels available and have an offset of -57! I wouldn’t buy these rims in this auction: they are damages and two new rims bought at the factory cost less than these two!

You can find them for sale here:
