This week we have some very rare rims: they are only 6J wide! 😀
Deep dish SSR Mk II rims 12 inch diameter and 6J wide
But saying they are very rare isn’t a joke: hardly anyone buys the 12 inch rims and 6J wide is a bit too wide for most cars. Think about it this way: most modern cars today drive on 6J wide rims, but then they are 15 inch in diameter!

They are meant for smaller cars like the Toyota Starlet KP61 or the Nissan Sunny B110.

Even these 175/70 tires look stretched on this 6J wide rim…

This week we will have the sudden death between a Kyusha styled Skyline C210 and a Bosozoku styled Mark II:

versus
Toyota Mark II GX71 inside out exhaust
Remember the double U shaped exhaust Celica? Well it has got a big brother:
Exhaust of the week: two double u shaped exhausts!
Together with the Soarer they make a great pair! 🙂
Soarer with the double U exhaust and loooovely taillights!
Even though the Soarer has lovely heart shaped taillights it looks like a wicked machine: it has been widened in grachan style with deep dish rims and big spoiler on the boot! I’d love to see it up front! 😉
Another video by Take4Mickey about bosozoku cruizing with their motorcycles of a past era. This time it was shot in 2003!
Look at that amazingly high bike @2:13! Amazing you can still drive with that!

Remember the SSR Formula Mesh rims feature? Well, this time we found some SSR Reverse Mesh more SSR Formula Mesh rims:
Deep dish SSR Formula Mesh rims
The difference between the Formula Mesh and the Reverse Mesh rims is the lip. The Formula Mesh features a second lip in the rim while the Reverse Mesh has a straight (flat) lip.
I found these on the Nagoya Racing bbs, but apparently their service discontinued last month, so I can’t find the exact diameters anymore. 🙁
Lip on this SSR Formula Mesh is 8.5 inches wide!
The lip alone is over 8.5 inches wide!! Most people I know drive around between 7J and 8J wide wheels… 8.5J lip is pure madness! 🙂
I’m not sure how wide they actually are. If the lip is already 8.5J and the center looks about 1 inch wide I would say they are 13J or 14J wide…
I think it is just a matter of taste, but personally I do like the Formula Mesh rims more than these Reverse Mesh rims. But of course I wouldn’t say no to any of these two at all! 🙂
