And more videos and pictures are coming in slowly! This set of videos was uploaded by Hattoriworks and shows the long road to the Tokyo Auto Salon 2010:
Nice slammed and lengthened Toyota Century! And if I’m not mistaken the nice Laurel C130 is no other than our badboy Laurel C130 #1 with a set of wide fenders!
The arrival at TAS 2010:
Nice Mazda Cosmo AP/RX5 and you got to love that bonkers first gen SA22 RX7!
Very very very fresh:
Yes, as you can see: the first footage from the Tokyo Auto Salon meet 2010! 🙂
I love those quad pipes coming from the rear seats! Personally I don’t think anyone sane enough would sit on the rear bench now! 😉
My personal favorite is the Soarer Z20 with the lightning bolt fenders in the first video!!
Without much trouble the Cedric K230 won!

Could it have to do anything with Daijiro driving this car some time ago??
The winners of the second round so far are:
1.
Nissan Laurel C130 #1
2.
Nissan Skyline C10 #1
3.

This week it is two old rivals: the Mark II versus the Gloria!
Toyota Mark II MX30 #2

Apart from being a rare zokusha it also had some very serious modifications: it was wide bodied in a proper granchan fashion and its spoiler makes me think of the late 90s trend of the bigger the better spoilers! Also the roof chop is done quite drastically!

At the rear end it all looks a bit too flat to me. Reminds me of the VIP Celsior by Daisuke Shouten.
Back in 2006 the late actress Brittany Murphy shot the movie Ramen Girl (released in 2008) in which she plays the Gaijin coming to Tokyo and works her ass off in a small ramenshop to become the best ramen master of Japan!
In one of the scenes of this movie she also went to Yoyogi Park to dance with the Takenokozoku dancers:
It became her second last movie: as we all know she passed away on 20th of december 2009 at the young age of 32.
