I always liked the Techno Shadow design, especially if the rim is as deep as these ones:

      Deep dish Techno Shadows

I found this set of 14 inch rims (two 13J wide and two 11J wide) on Auctions Yahoo.

The seller mentions Kenmeri and Laurel, so you don’t have to guess long what cars these rims would suit best!

They are not cheap though: the current bid is already at 800,000 yen (9500 us dollars) and the buy me now price is 1,000,000 yen (12,000 us dollars) and for that hefty sum of money you can probably buy a whole lot of C130 Laurels to fit them on. 😉

Even if the price may sound steep: these rims are not being made anymore and finding a full matching set is like winning the price in a lottery. Perhaps you will need to win that price too to be able to buy these babies. 😉

You can find the auction here: set of Techno Shadow rims on Auctions Yahoo

To break the habbit of posting way too many Skylines and Laurels (hey, I can’t help the fact that they are so popular!) here is a Celica RA28 with some deep dished SSR Mk IIs for a change:

According to the owner they were bought on Auctions Yahoo and are 10J wide.

Maybe 10J is a bit too wide for this Celica. Just see for yourself:

Perhaps some fender extenders would solve this “problem”?

    • Nov 11thHow deep is your pocket?

You probably already read the news on JNC blog or Kyushakai: wheel manufacturer Rota did it again! They designedcopied another wheel and this time it is the famous Hayashi Street:
      Rota Street?
      Rota Street?

They will be available in 15x7J ET20 and ET0 and also in 15x9J ET-10. Price? Probably somewhere near one fifth of the originals…

Personally I think it is a terrible thing to knock off a classic design that is still in production. If they were copying Hoshino Impuls or Techno Phantoms I could have understood their actions…

I found this Soarer GZ10 on Longchamps on when I was searching for an old school lip:
Soarer GZ10 on deep dish Longchamps
Soarer GZ10 on deep dish Longchamps

The Longchamps are 14 inch and appear to be somewhere in the 10J range.

The Soarer itself is a VX, so it features the single cam 1G engine:

Nevertheless a breathtaking car when put on a set of deep dish Longchamps!
