Also a must have for the bosozoku lifestyle: have a remote controlled miniature copy of your zokusha to play with on a boring Sunday afternoon:
I love the way this 1/24 Yonmeri Skyline C110 has been modified with a headlight swap, a small oilcooler and at the rear with the V shaped exhaust:
Remember the Double U shaped exhausts of the week? When I posted the first car I was convinced the car was a Celica due to the rear lights.
Double V shaped exhaust
It was a bit hard to tell but the picture only showed the rearend of the car. The picture with the second car showed it wasn’t a Celica but I couldn’t tell what it was after all. Lucky enough I finally found a couple of pictures of the side and front of the car:

Nissan Laurel C130 with swapped headlights
As you can see: it is a Laurel C130! ?(???;)
Bosozoku style Nissan Laurel C130
Not only did it have its rear lights swapped for a set of Celica’s but also the headlights of a Laurel C230 and bumper mixed from, what I think, a Toyota Mark II (midsection) and a Corona T130 (extensions).
Bosozoku style Nissan Laurel C130 2 door hardtop
In this picture you can see really well that the Laurel is a 2 door hardtop. IMO the best looking Laurel of them all! 🙂
Is this a new regular? Well, actually I was planning to do a deep dish but last monday we got a comment from TOJI004 that he stretched 195/50 tires on 10J rims. My remark was that I can only imagine what it looks like! My best guess it comes a bit near this:
RS Watanabe 16 inch 8.5J with 175/60 stretched on it
You can really see the inner and outer shoulders on this rim standing out from the tirewall!
So alternating between deep dish and stretch tires is a nice addition to these series. ????????(???)??????!!!!!
I posted these pictures on my own regular blog last week as well. This Minkara user wanted to find the perfect match for his Carina AA63 Wagon and what else to do with a set of 16 inch 8.5J and 8J RS Watanabe rims than to fit several tire sized on them to see how they look stretched on those rims:
Compare several tiresizes on these RS Watanabe 16 inch 8J and 8.5J
The tiresizes are from left to right: 195/50 on 8.5J, 175/55 on 8.5J, 175/55 on 8J
This is how the 175/55 on 8.5J looked:
RS Watanabe 16 inch 8.5J with 175/55 fitted on Carina AA63 Wagon
And what did he choose? 175/60 turned out to be the perfect match!
by banpei with no comments yetThe results of last weeks poll have to wait till tomorrow: I’m on holiday but that didn’t stop me from scheduling the two other competitors. 🙂
Edit: got back, so the winner is…..
Bosozoku style Skyline C210
The Bosozoku style Skyline C210! 🙂
The next two competitors of the quarter finals are:
Kyusha styled Nissan Skyline C210 Japan
versus
Bosozoku style Tomica Skyline RS Super Silhouette Formula replica
Something went wrong during my vacation, so you were unable to vote on the poll I scheduled for last sunday. Don’t know what went wrong, but I was able to fix it now and you can now vote on one of the two cars again! 🙂
Sorry for the inconvenience! m(_ _)m
